Dust off your dancing shoes and practice your Carolina Shag because the beloved “Shaggin’ on Fieldcrest” event returns to Eden, North Carolina on Saturday, August 29th, 2024. This free, family-friendly festival promises a fun-filled evening celebrating the iconic Carolina Shag dance style.
The festivities kick off at 5:30 pm and last until 10 pm on Fieldcrest Road in Draper, Eden. Attendees can learn the signature moves from local shag clubs or simply enjoy watching the masters dancin’ in the street. Live beach music will provide the perfect soundtrack for dancing the night away.
No need to pack a picnic basket! Local vendors will be on-site offering a variety of delicious food options. For those over 21, a dedicated Rotary beer garden and wine from Childress Vineyards will be available. Remember to bring your lawn chairs and settle in for an evening of good food, good music, and good company.
